Who's Behind the Platform — And Why We Built It This Way
A small team in Maribor with a straightforward idea: automation tools should be testable before they cost you anything.
Where Atelier Group Came From
Founded in Maribor in 2019, built out of frustration with tools that skipped the testing step.
Atelier Group was founded in Maribor in 2019 by a group of traders and software engineers who shared one frustration: every automated trading tool they evaluated pushed them toward a live account before they'd seen a single honest data point. Backtests were cherry-picked, demo modes were stripped of meaningful features, and performance reports were marketing documents rather than analysis tools. The team decided to build the environment they actually wanted — one where the demo is the product, not an afterthought. In the five years since, the platform has been used by more than 400 individual traders and a handful of small professional funds operating across the EU. The core team remains eight people, which keeps decision-making fast and support genuinely personal. The office sits in central Maribor, close enough to the alpine foothills that the team is reminded daily that clear air and clear data have a lot in common.
How the Team Works — And What You Should Know Before Signing Up

The platform is built around a single engineering principle: every feature visible in the demo must behave identically in the live environment. There are no demo-mode shortcuts or optimistic fill assumptions. When a new feature ships, it goes to the demo tier first, runs for at least four weeks of live market observation, and only graduates to live accounts after the team is satisfied it behaves consistently. That cycle slows some product launches, but it means the number you see in a backtest is the number you can interrogate — not a best-case projection. You should know what the platform does not cover: Atelier Group does not offer financial advice, portfolio management, or signals services. We build and maintain the testing infrastructure; what you do with the results is entirely your decision and your responsibility. The platform currently supports major FX pairs, select EU equity indices, and liquid crypto perpetuals. Bond instruments, commodities, and exotic options are outside the current roadmap. If your strategy requires those, we'll tell you directly rather than let you discover the gap after signing up.
