A sandbox with real data is the difference between guesswork and an informed decision.
Paper trading on a delayed feed with no execution simulation is not a demo — it's a guess dressed up as evidence. The Atelier Group demo connects directly to live exchange feeds, models realistic bid-ask spreads and latency, and records every fill at the price the market would have offered. The result is a session log that reflects the real world, not an optimistic approximation of it. When you review those numbers, you're looking at something you can actually trust.
Feature Breakdown
A closer look at what each module does inside the platform.
Demo account environment
Each user gets a dedicated, isolated demo account seeded with a configurable virtual balance. There is no shared infrastructure with live accounts — your fills, your history, your reset. You can wipe and restart a session without affecting anything else on the platform.
Strategy automation builder
Use the visual logic builder to define entry conditions, exit triggers, and position sizing rules. If you already have a coded strategy, upload it directly. The automation layer handles scheduling, retries, and heartbeat monitoring so the bot keeps running even when your laptop is closed.
Historical backtesting engine
Select any instrument and any date range back to 2015. The engine replays tick data with spread simulation active. Results are shown as equity curves, monthly return tables, and a drawdown calendar — three views that together reveal patterns a single chart would hide.
Risk control suite
Configure maximum daily loss as a percentage of demo balance, per-position size caps, and a volatility-triggered pause rule. When a limit is hit, the bot halts and notifies you via email or in-platform alert. You see the moment of intervention in the trade log — no hidden overrides.
Performance reporting dashboard
Session summaries are generated after every trading day and stored in your account history. Export to CSV for your own analysis, or read the built-in breakdown: total trades, win/loss ratio, largest single loss, expectancy per trade, and a rolling 30-day Sharpe estimate. The azure-toned report view is designed to be readable in one sitting.
What the Platform Does Not Do — And Why That Matters
Honest tool limits are part of responsible automation.
Atelier Group's demo does not manage money, provide investment advice, or guarantee that a strategy profitable in simulation will remain profitable live. Markets change structure; a logic that worked in a low-volatility regime may behave differently during a crisis. The platform surfaces this risk by letting you test across multiple market periods before committing. It also does not support every asset class — current coverage is major FX pairs, select EU equity indices, and the most liquid crypto perpetuals. Niche instruments are outside scope.
“The backtesting engine showed me a 14-month stretch in 2022 where my trend-following bot would have drawn down 23%. I'd never seen that clearly presented before. I adjusted the volatility pause threshold and the curve smoothed out considerably — that level of visibility is what I was missing everywhere else.”
